Our History

VJTS was founded in 1982 by Jeff Fisher (retired in 2000) having previously had 26 years’ experience in the industry. Joined by his two sons Tony and Keith, VJTS have maintained the family concept. We cover sites all over the UK, Europe and beyond from our central base in Leeds.

VJ Technical is born

VJTS was founded in 1982 by Jeff Fisher (now retired) having previously had 26 years experience in Standby Power Batteries with the CEGB and one of the largest UK battery manufacturers.

Two sons join the company

Tony & Keith join the family business to enable expansion into installation and maintenance of Standby Power Systems

1990

Awarded first contract abroad.

Filling, charging and testing of two 450V plante UPS Batteries at a Military base in Iceland.

1996

Contracts in France Germany & Holland

Installation of dual Battery and rectifier systems for major telecoms provider throughout these countries. Approximately 60 sites covered.

2004

Awarded 4 year Power Station contract

Replacement of 18 main Station Batteries at various voltages 240V, 110V 48V & 24V. We were featured in the European Journal.

National installations for major telecoms provider

New AC & DC installations carried out throughout the UK during an 8 year period.

UPS Installations for major manufacturers

Complete installation of new Battery and UPS systems all AC & DC work undertaken.

Maintenance contract for major telecoms provider

Inspection and maintenance of 48V Battery systems throughout the UK including replacements from charged stock.
